The weather was splendid for this weekend at Armstrong Vineyard and Winery Spring Event. There was a fair crowd on Saturday when the weather was fantastic and a disappointing crowd on Sunday. After all it was Mother’s Day! Approximately 12 -15 crafters exhibited and sold their wares, including us.
Thanks again to our daughter, Erin, who was a great help, especially Sunday. Sitting in canvas chairs with improper back support and lugging things around, caused a flare up of my not so perfect lower back and I had to depend on her more than usual. I have been able to keep my back in fairly good shape by going to the gym 3 times a week, but occassionally, I still have issues and this weekend was one of those times. Need to look for a chair with good back support for outside. I appear to be recuperating quickly, which I attribute to my gym attendance.
We plan on attending the Armstrong Vineyard and Winery Summer Festival on July 14th weekend and hoping for great weather and a good crowd and perhaps more crafters.
Had a nice chat with many attendees and vendors, especially our friends, Patti and Tim Leitzel from Brickhouse Craft Shop, who were there also. You can find them also on Facebook. They feature great primitive craft items from various vendors and several things of their own. Check out their signs and painted windows.
Also check out Armstrong Vineyard and Winery on Facebook. Armstrong Vineyard is located at 222 Rutter Road, Halifax, Pa. and about 25 miles north of Harrisburg, Pa. They have a wide selection of fruit wines which I have heard are very good.
