Welcome to Fickes Glass Act

October 16, 2011

Next show is at the Mechanicsburg Senior High School for the Upper Allen Women’s Club (GFWC) 20th Arts, Crafts and Collectibles Show on October 29, 2011 (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.).

I recently purchased some inventory and tools from a friend’s mother whose husband was a stain glass artist before his passing.  They wanted to see that his stuff went to a good home and will be put to use to further the art.  No problem there!  The inventory included a few tools, glass and some partially finished leaded stain glass suncatchers, etc. which I hope to turn into completed items for sale in the very near future.

FYI, I repaired a pool table hanging light for friend/customer that had a broken piece (1.5 ” x 10″) in the lower right hand corner on one of the ends.  Fortunately I was able to match the glass color and pattern and the repair came out quite well.  This light had been made by his grandfather in the 60’s and he wanted it restored to hang over his pool table.
